As one of the foremost arts organizations in the
Tidewater area, the Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble knows that it is our
responsibility to help shape the future of our young people. An
important part of the Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble's mission is to
encourage music education and strengthen ties within our community. We
are particularly proud of our community partnership with the public
schools by providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors to
help further their musical interests. The Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble
is a member of the Association of Concert Bands.
Congratulations to our holiday concert contest
winners:
Erica Gottschlich, Cassidy Spruill, Rick Hill, Rosemarie Tirari, and
Carol Overby, who will be receiving two free tickets to our "Travels
in Europe" Concert on March 15, 2008 at Hampton University. The correct
answer to the contest was, "The Christmas Song," but we also accepted,
"Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire."
Rehearsals are from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Poquoson
High School.

Vote for your favorite!
Over the next three years, the Chesapeake Bay Wind
Ensemble is asking you to vote for your favorite piece for each of our
concerts. At the end of this time,
we will perform an audience favorite concert, which will consist of all
the favorites you voted on.
